Here at Centerville Web Design, we believe in the power of ideas. But what's good about an idea if no one gets to hear it? That's where we come in -- a company that cuts through the clutter, gets your Web site listed high in search engines, and gets your product noticed.

Centerville Web Design offers dozens of ways to reach your target audience, from simple Web sites, to custom brochures to Web sites written in foreign languages. And we do it in your neighborhood. We serve Centerville, Kettering, Dayton, Springboro, Columbus, Cincinnati, Covington, Middletown and beyond.

Designing your first Web site from scratch? We know the feeling. It's a bit overwhelming. But we've put together a list of ways to get your Web Site traffic once it's on the Internet.

The Top 10 ways to drive traffic to your Web site or blog

1. Be straightforward. Present your information in an easily-digestible, conversational format.

2. Images speak louder than words. Use lots of them on your site and/or brochure.

3. Use 'too much' detail. These days, it's not enough to have a one-page site that lists your address and phone number. People can find that out on Google. Give them a reason to visit your site by telling them everything you can about your products.

4. Learn how search engines work, so you can improve your ranking. Since most people are going to enter your site through a search engine, you're going to need to be pretty high on the list for the five or ten keywords that sum up your business.

5. Publish on multiple sites (like Facebook.com, Myspace.com and Twitter.com).

6. Update your site often. It looks unprofessional if your site says, "Last updated: Jan. 1998". If that's the case, is it even relevant anymore?

7. Evangelize your Web site everywhere, even at the bottom of your emails (most email programs have a "signature line" you can use).

8. Invest in online advertising. (Learn more). Every hit is a potential client.

9. Give something away for free. There's no better way to show off your product's quality than by giving samples away for free. The initial investment might be high, but the payoff will likely be higher.

10. Generate incoming links (i.e. other web sites that link to your web site) by producing high-class content -- the sort of content that other people sell for money. The incoming links you generate will be the number one factor in getting your Web site noticed by search engines.
